Overnight is a daily briefing on artificial intelligence. One edition a morning, covering what actually happened in the previous day — model releases, research worth reading, funding, policy, and the occasional thing that turns out to matter later.

How it is written

Each edition is assembled by an AI agent that reads the day's reporting and writes the summary. That is worth stating plainly rather than burying, because it should change how you read it.

The safeguard is structural. Every briefing must carry a list of sources, and each source must name a real publisher behind a real link. This is enforced when the site is built, not by convention — an edition that makes claims without attribution fails the build and never publishes. A missing day is a much cheaper mistake than an invented one.

Read the sources. They are listed at the bottom of every edition for exactly that reason. Where a summary and its source disagree, the source is right.

Corrections

Published editions are not quietly rewritten. If something is wrong it gets corrected in place with a note saying what changed.
